The headquarters of the Republican Party of New Mexico was attacked in an alleged attack of fires caused on Sunday, according to party officials.
At approximately 5:56 am on Sunday, Albuquerque fire rescue was sent to the headquarters for a reported structure fire, authorities said.
The flames were controlled within five minutes after their arrival and there were no reported injuries, said Fire Rescue.

The structure suffered “damage to the main entrance and smoke damage throughout the building,” said Fire Rescue.
The words “Ice = kkk” were also painted with spray in the building, authorities said.
The New Mexico Republican Party said the incident was a “deliberate fire of fire.”
“This horrible attack, fed by hatred and intolerance, is a direct assault on our values, freedoms and our right to political expression,” party officials said in a statement Sunday.
Party officials said that this is not an isolated incident, claiming that it is part of a “disturbing politically motivated violence pattern that has affected our country, partly fed by the silence and implicit breath of progressive leaders who refuse to condemn these acts.”
The president of the Republican Party of New Mexico, Amy Barela, said that those who “resort to violence to undermine our State and Nation must be responsible.”
“The Republican Party of New Mexico will not be silenced,” Blela said in a statement. “We will leave this stronger, more united and more determined to fight for the people of New Mexico and the future of our country.”

Albuquerque Fire Rescue is working with the FBI and the office of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives to investigate this incident, authorities said.
