Several people have been injured in an active handle incident in Fort Stewart in Georgia on Wednesday, an American official said.
A person is in custody, said the official.
The number of victims was not clear immediately, but the victims are on their way to the regional trauma center, Health University Memorial Center in Savannah, they told ABC News to ABC News.

Fort Stewart is about 40 miles southwest of Savannah.
The base began a block after the incident in the second area of the combat team of the armored brigade. The police are on the scene and the situation is ongoing, authorities said.
The governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp said on social networks, “we keep the victims, their families and all who respond to the call to serve in our hearts and prayers.”
